Best Thighs Workout - Side Step Squats With Wood Chop.


In today’s article, we are going to bring a very good exercise for you from a very personal trainer from New York and also the author of the book, “The Ultimate New York Body Plan” (McGraw-Hill), David Kirsch.


According to him there is a special squat, you can say it as “wood chops with a side step squat”, that will going to work out your arms, your abs, your back, the rest of your torso, your thighs (more pronounced effect on inner thighs), your butts and your legs.

In order to perform this exercise, you can stand up whilst your feet are at shoulder-width distance from each other. Hold a medicine ball of 3 to 4 pounds in your hands. Now while holding, the ball, bend your arms up such that the gym balls you are holding is at right shoulder.

Keep it at your eye level while it Is over your right shoulder. Now move the ball towards your left knee. Raise your thighs such that they are at 90 degrees from your torso and now bend your knees to again 90 degrees. Whilst you do, keep your other leg straight. Now return to the starting position.

Do this exercise 10 to 15 times without breaking the circuit. Switch to next leg and perform same exercise for prescribed sets. You can even repeat and extend the no.of sets to maximize your strength and master this side squat exercise.
